Milton Schachter, MPA
Chief Executive Officer
Milton Schachter, MPA, AmeriWound’s founder and Chief Executive Officer leverages his 40 years of healthcare leadership experience to build and grow AmeriWound into a national physician wound care organization. Mr. Schachter regularly seeks out new complementary services as he leads AmeriWound’s continued growth and expansion of its footprint.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Schachter built and led the Mid South’s first federally qualified HMO, partnered with Prudential to grow the health plan to 100,000 commercial and Medicaid members. Over an 18-year period, Mr. Schachter founded and led Health First Medical Group with 100 providers and its affiliated 600 provider multi state PHO. Mr. Schachter subsequently merged this organization into a 5 state MedPartners region which he successfully led achieving a 9.5% EBITDA.
Mr. Schachter led a major Orthopedic practice increasing their revenues by 35% and profitability by 26%. Mr. Schachter served as Senior Manager for Ernst & Young and Executive in Residence for LEK where he authored a number of ACO white papers. During his consulting period, Mr. Schachter led a number of hospital, group practice, ACO, home health, ASC, payer and private equity projects including developing a major/national payer’s ACO go to market strategy.
Mr. Schachter received a BA from Yeshiva University and an MPA in Healthcare Administration from New York University.
Samson Fixler, MSBA
Chief Operating Officer
Samson Fixler, MSBA, AmeriWound’s Chief Operating Officer and co-founder, ensures that operations ranging from patient registration to physician EHR, documentation run efficiently. In the process, he implements industry-leading technology to best serve our physicians, clients, and patients.
Mr. Fixler brings over 20 years in healthcare and business experience, including 10 years as a Chief Operating Officer, leading a group of five nursing homes.
Over the course of his career, he founded and led a mobile dentistry practice servicing skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities throughout Northeast Ohio. Prior to his healthcare experience, Mr. Fixler served as project manager and senior business analyst for Delaware Investments, a subsidiary of Lincoln National.
Mr. Fixler received his BA from Yeshiva University and an MSBA from Temple University's Fox School of Business.
Terence Navin, MD, MPH, DABPMR, CWSP, FACCWS, FAPWCA
Chief Medical Officer
Terence Navin, MD, MPH, DABPMR, CWSP, FACCWS, FAPWCA, AmeriWound's Chief Medical Officer, oversees the clinical operations of AmeriWound and its physician affiliates and also serves as a practicing Wound Care Physician.
Dr. Navin has been practicing wound management for over 14 years in varied practice settings. He began his wound management career servicing wound care patients in skilled nursing facilities. He later served as a wound physician and medical director in a hospital-based wound and hyperbaric center, and provided inpatient wound management consultation services. He has mentored pre-medical students, medical students, and other clinicians. Dr. Navin served on international public health tours in Guatemala and Tanzania and is an Active Clinician of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Navin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician of the American Board of Wound Management and is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.
Dr. Navin graduated Phi Beta Kappa with double majors from Villanova University where he was a Presidential Scholarship recipient. He completed his medical education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the combined M.D./M.P.H. program and completed his residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Ross Leighliter, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Ross Leighliter, MBA, AmeriWound's Chief Financial Officer has management responsibility for the company’s Treasury, Controller, Revenue, and Tax functions. Mr. Leighliter’s first role at AmeriWound was as Director of Finance and Controller, where he financially guided the company through its early start-up and capitalization phases.
Mr. Leighliter was previously Assistant VP of Finance for Nashville, TN based Symbion Healthcare (now Surgery Partners), where he served as the financial leader of the Northeast Region. During that period, his region was comprised of eight ambulatory (same-day) surgery centers in five states with $45 million in annual revenue. Over his twelve years at Symbion, he also held the roles of Regional Controller and Business Manager.
Mr. Leighliter earned his Bachelors degree from Kent State University and Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
Robin Dillard, BA
Director of Human Resources
Robin Dillard, BA serves as AmeriWound’s Director of Human Resources. Mrs. Dillard provides Human Resource leadership and management to AmeriWound staff and providers. She specializes in compliance, hiring, recruitment and staffing, talent retention, benefits, performance improvement, succession planning, training and development, employee relations, employment law and regulations, policy and procedures creation, administering and updating. Mrs. Dillard joined AmeriWound in 2013. From that time she assisted senior leadership in transitioning a startup company with only a few employees into a diverse, professionally staffed and growing company operating in seven states.
Mrs. Dillard formerly served as Human Resource Credentialing Coordinator for Maxim Healthcare Services and the Center for Health Affairs. Mrs. Dillard was instrumental in obtaining three Joint Commission Seals of Approval and two mergers that resulted in a significant increase in the number of employees and the volume of sales.
Mrs. Dillard was nominated and named the winner of the 2017 Human Resource Crain’s Cleveland 2017 Archer Award-HR Leadership and Diversity. https://www.crainscleveland.com/node/69076. She has B.A. in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development from the University of Toledo.
Stephanie Lovin, MS
Regional Director of Ohio, Illinois & Indiana
Stephanie Lovin, MS serves as the Regional Director for Ohio, Illinois, & Indiana. As Regional Director she establishes new partnerships and maintains existing accounts with our valued long-term care facilities. Mrs. Lovin fosters collaborative relationships within client facilities, working closely with our physicians to coordinate and meet the needs of patients at the client facilities.
Mrs. Lovin has over 17 years of diverse sales and project management experience. During her prior experience with Pharmanex, LLC, she was responsible for establishing and maintaining accounts, designing strategic implementation processes, and successfully facilitating continuous training within the healthcare industry.
Mrs. Lovin holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Research Management from Arizona State University.
Shannon Parker, BA, CWCMS
Regional Manager of Southern California
Shannon Parker, BA, CWCMS serves as Regional Manager for Southern California. As Regional Manager, she establishes new partnerships and maintains existing accounts with our valued long-term care facilities. Ms. Parker fosters positive relationships with client facilities, working closely with physicians to meet the needs of patients and her client facilities. Ms. Parker brings 10+ years of outside medical supply and equipment sales to AmeriWound.
Ms. Parker’s passion for wound care, stems from being attacked by a mountain lion. She subsequently woke up in the hospital with 298 wound lacerations from head to toe. Read more about Ms. Parker's story:
Ms. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University- Bakersfield in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and she is a Certified Wound Care Market Specialist through the Wound Care Education Institute (CWCMS).
Regional Manager of Northern Ohio & Western Pennsylvania
Graziella Tasca serves as the Regional Manager in Northern Ohio & Western Pennsylvania. As Regional Manager, she is responsible for establishing new partnerships and maintaining existing accounts with our valued long-term care facilities throughout the region. Ms. Tasca works closely with AmeriWound providers to meet the needs of patients and her client facilities.
Ms. Tasca previously owned a sports training business where she developed comprehensive training plans, and trained and developed many athletes in the art of figure skating. During this time, Ms. Tasca fine-tuned her sales skills, and within three years, tripled her clientele.
Ms Tasca graduated from John Carroll in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. She then continued her education, earning her degree in Biology.
Susan Semeraro, BS, MHA
Regional Manager of New York, New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania
Susan Semeraro, MHA serves as Regional Manager for New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania. As Regional Manager she establishes new partnerships and maintains existing accounts with our long-term care facilities. Ms. Semeraro fosters positive relationships within client facilities, working closely our physicians to coordinate and meet the needs of patients.
Ms. Semeraro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance and a Masters Degree in Nutrition and is in the process of finishing her PhD in Health Sciences and research.
Sandra Phipps, RN, BSN, MBA, WCC
Regional Manager of Northern California
Sandra Phipps, RN, BSN, MBA, WCC serves as the Regional Manager for Northern California. In that capacity, she is responsible for establishing new partnerships and maintaining existing accounts with our long-term care facilities. Ms. Phipps fosters collaborative relationships with client facilities, working closely with our affiliated physicians to coordinate and meet the needs of patients and our client facilities.
With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Ms. Phipps served as Director of Clinical Support for Joerns Recover Care for both their Western and Midwestern territories. Ms. Phipps previously served as the Director of Outpatient Wound Care Center for Diversified Clinical Services. She worked for Johnson Controls as a Healthcare Solutions Account Executive and for U.S Counseling Delivery at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Ms. Phipps received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Business Administration from San Jose State University and she is Wound Care Certified.
David Miller, LNHA
Regional Manager, New Jersey, New York & Eastern Pennsylvania
David Miller is a seasoned Health Care veteran with over 15 years of experience in Healthcare. As a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), David has served as the Administrator of Skilled Nursing Facilities and various Medical Adult Day Care Centers across the New York and New Jersey. David has extensive high-level experience in operating and conducting new business, developing and closing sales for various Healthcare facilities and entities. He has enjoyed regular deficiency-free survey successes as a LNHA. Through his career, David has also virtually tripled the census at various Medical Adult Day Care Centers. David is known as a strong advocate for the frail and elderly residing in SNF’s, and his peers view him as a motivated, dedicated, loyal and devoted professional.
Melissa Chinchar, RN, IPCO, WCC
Director of Wound Care Education
Melissa Chinchar, RN, IPCO, WCC serves as the Director of Wound Care Education. Mrs. Chinchar leads our clinical support team and program, including wound education, compliance, and auditing. Mrs. Chinchar and her staff support all AmeriWound affiliated providers and client facilities assisting them with wound educational needs. Under her guidance, Mrs. Chinchar ensures that our client facilities and their staffs are proficient and current on the latest wound care long term care rules, regulations and treatment approaches.
Mrs. Chinchar has 20 years of nursing experience including long term care, within skilled nursing and hospice. She served as the Director of Nursing in long term care facilities for 10 years. Mrs. Chinchar is a Certified Infection Preventionist and is wound care certified by NAWCO.
Manager of Physician Recruitment
Allison Denk serves as the Recruitment Manager for all territories. Allison leads AmeriWound's physician recruitment across all territories. Allison works closely with AmeriWound's regional managers to seek and vet quality physicians to service as Wound Care Specialists at our partner facilities.
Prior to joining the AmeriWound physician recruitment team, Allison worked as a senior accounting recruiter and also worked in automotive sales.
Ms. Denk holds a BS in accounting from Kent State University.
